  • Jamila first opened its doors to the public ten years ago and is a labour of love for both founders, Joel Waik and Abdu ElAraj. Abdu, a self taught chef, absorbed the secrets of authentic Mohammedian Moroccan cooking from his mother, who taught all her children the secret to good food - fresh high quality ingredients, minimal frying and no processed flavourings . Prepared from scratch with meticulous care, the menu includes her favourite dishes - Classic Beef and Vegetable Couscous, Spicy Fish Cakes, Eggplant Marrakesh, Stuffed Artichoke Hearts, Moroccan Chicken Skillet and Spicy Fish Stew. Jamila also offers a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options for those herbivores with a taste for authentic Moroccan flavours. Diners will be sure to get a taste of Perla's kitchen in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Staff are always attentive and will go out of their way to provide guests with a true Jamila experience
